Lady H Gin is Donna’s first Gin, having taken around 4 years to learn how to distil and then refine my Gin into a in that I believe is subtle, soft and elegant… A Gin I am proud to show to the world, something a little different, It is even smooth enough to sip on the rocks.

Working on Lady H Gin allowed me to get back in touch with a creative side that I had forgotten about… Somehow, this journey has also allowed me to heal a wee bit… After a number of years as a Police Sergeant, I had forgotten about the softer more gentler and fun side of me.. this project has helped me remember to celebrate being a proud woman, to rediscover the feminine side of me that I had forgotten about during my years in the NZ police.

It is a bit of fun, Sometimes we just need a distraction to life's ups & downs, twist and turns, sometimes we all just need something to smile about and enjoy.

• Lady H is a soft delicate Contemporary Modern Dry Gin.

• Smooth and Balanced, it has been created to be enjoyed with soda and a splash of tonic, or on the rocks…

• Having Lady H simply with soda allows for the softer botanicals to be enjoyed.

• Not being as citrus forward as some Gin’s, allows for the subtler botanicals to come forward

• While remaining Juniper forward it “it’s isn’t GIN without Juniper after all” a softer citrus flavour has been achieved by using fresh citrus instead of the traditional dried citrus peel, giving a sweeter and softer citrus flavour, some of the citrus flavour comes from the Coriander Seed

• The floral is coming from the small amount of Orris root (root of the Iris plant), a very strong flavour hence why only a small amount is used.

• The slight Liquorice/aniseed flavours come from Angelica Root

• Cinnamon provides warmth & balancing, without bringing too much spice

• Dried fruit (cape gooseberry) brings a sweet finish.

• Lemon slice pushed down into the liquid, allows the softer citrus notes to come to the front

• Cinnamon Quill allows the warming base notes of cinnamon to shine

• Cucumber slice allows the freshness of the bright fruit to be balanced

• Sliced Apple allows the sweetness of the dried fruit to come through
